Ki te whakakotahi a Ngati Manu e

Tu tonu au titiro ra

Ki nga uri tenei ka whakaeke

Kia tutuki te whakakotahi e

No reira ra e nga hapu e

Pupuritia nga ohaki

Hei tauira mo te iwi e

E ki anei ko Ngati Manu e

Kia mau ra e

Tu ana matou ki runga

O Puketohunoa

Ka titiro atu ki Ruapekapeka

Ka hoki mai ki te puna o oku matua e

E karekare nei e

Ko Taumarere

Ka hoki mai ki te puna o oku matua e

E karekare nei e

Ko Taumarere

Also, the meaning of the Pouwhenua “Te Pou o Taumarere ki Hokianga”, this was made and erected by Arapeta Hamilton.  The location is on the Opua waterfront, beyond the Russell Vehicle Ferry and outside the Opua Town Hall. The occasion was the 2002 Annual Te Runanga o Taumarere ki Rakaumangamanga Bachelor Degree Scholarships Grants Ceremony.  Arapeta Hamilton was the founder member of these Scholarship Grants.
